Project Life Week 46

Project Life

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We sure did and I'm already trying to get ready for December and Christmas, can't wait. I'm finally getting week 46 posted. Can't believe there are only a few more weeks left in 2012.

This week started off kind of slow, but then ended pretty great. As you can see after much debate I decided to keep my boots and I'm so glad that I did because I love them now. Not sure what changed my mind, but whatever it was I'm happy it did.  Also went to see Breaking Dawn Part 2 and let me just say that for a 10 min there at the end I was so mad I can't even begin to tell you how mad I was, but then everything turned out fine and I loved this movie. If you haven't seen it then you really sure. And of course David got home Saturday night which just made my day.

Makes Me Happy!

A lot of things make me happy, but not as much as him being home and just the two of us hanging out together doing what we do best, laughing with each other.

Sometimes things are tough and life doesn't always go the way I want to, but we have each other and I am greatful for that. And even though we fight and don't always get along in the end I know we'll always make up and have nights like to get us through it.

This year like every year I have so much to be thankful for. I hope you do too. Happy Thanksgiving.

Lately

Lately its been all simple and easy whenever possible.

Like cereal for supper.

And sitting here when I get home from work for a quick warm up, thinking about the stuff I need to be doing instead of sitting on butt. ha! Like trying to make sure I have everything done for Thanksgiving that I'm suppose to. Can't believe it's already here. But again simple and easy whenever possible. I love those kind of weeks.

Hiking

Monday I was off work for the holiday, so Bethany and I decided to go for hike. The colors this time of year are just gorgeous in our state park. Plus the weahter was great, it wasn't to hot or cold perfect time to head out for a little hike.

This guy was just sitting there right at the start our the trail we were gonna do just begging for his picture to be taken. HA!

Walked across a log, good thing there wasn't any water in the bottom or I would have for sure fell.

But I made it all the way across. Go me! hehe

There was a tree right in the middle of the trail (actually there where several trees that were down in the middle of the trail that we had to go around) so great time for a pit stop and to take some pictures.

Aww....I think he was sad to see us go. hehe!

Photographer (wanna be) Part II

Meet one of my super cute neices. She was my cooperative subject this past weekend for me to finish up the last of my photography class. She is so not camera shy and actually likes to be in front of the camera. She's also willing to sit, stand, or lay down in order to get a good shoot. And did I mention that she's super cute? Just wanted to share a few of my favorite shots.

About half way through she asked me, how many more pictures are we going to take I laughed and said we've taken a bunch huh and she said yeah. That's when I told her we were almost done. When I got home I had over 150 images to go through. No wonder she tired.

This one is my favorite I think. It's just so her!

I had to throw that last one in. She wanted so badly to catch one. Thanks, Kennison for being a trooper and hanging in there with me.

Project Life Weeks 44 & 45

Project Life
Sharing a couple more weeks of PL and wondering where in the world 2012 has gone. Still can't believe the holiday season is here, but I'm excited all at the same time. Here are the past couple of weeks.

Week 44

Finally got some coat & scarf weather. I love when it's cold enough to drag all of the "winter" stuff out.

This week was also my oldest nephew's last football game in high school. Still can't believe he'll be graduating in May. He sure is getting old. hehe Ok maybe I'm the one getting old.

Week 45

This week was pretty busy for. Monday was my bday (the big  31), a little shopping and eating, then the election which was also a pretty big thing. I finally got my hair done ( I was in serious need of getting it done). I even made a mad dash to go pick up a Chirstmas present for David (go me). It was also the last week of my photography class so my sweet/cute niece was my subject to help me wrap it up. Then Saturday was girl's night out with my sis-in-law. Lots of fun going on. Love when that happens. I'm hoping that the rest of 2012 will be just as fun filled and on the go as well.

Photographer (wanna be)

It's just been the past couple of years that I've really gotten into photography. I mean I've always had a camera in mind at holidays, at school, or family get togethers, but it's just been the recently that I wanted to take great picitures and was all about the camera and lens and cute bags. And of course nine weeks ago I started my second photograhpy class and I have learned so much and I am so thankful that I was able to take this class. For one of my assignments I talked my sis-in-law and niece into being my "cooperative" subjects and I was really happy with some of the shots that I got.

She didn't want her picture taken in this one. haha

I'm not one to edit pictures (read I'm lazy), but I would really like to get serious about this hobby of mine and hope that sometime in the near future be able to do this for a living so I guess I'm going to have to start to edit my pictures.

Leaves & Smiley Faces

It's another rainy Sunday here and I love it. Perfect napping weather if you ask me!

After church today I went up to my parents house (my mom cooked me lunch- YUM!) and just hung out for a bit. At some point I was looking out the window and was watching it rain and all I could think of was "man that's a lot of leaves in their yard" and I wished that it wasn't raining and that someone was home so that we could go outside and play in the leaves. Yes, I am a kid at heart!

In the end I still had fun in the rain and leaves.

But I don't want to forget what this day is really about and what our freedom has costs so many people and their families. Veterans Day is a very special day and it's because of those men and women in uniform who serve our country that we have the freedom that we as Americans have. Without those who are willing to put on that uniform and stand for what they believe in and fight for this country we wouldn't be here today. America is beautiful and free. I hope and pray that it continues to be. But I also hope and pray that people start to realize that God is the way, the truth, and the life". John 14:6 And that through Him all things are possible. A BIG thank you to all our men and women who proudly serve the US.
