Waiting on Spring

So even though the official first day of Spring was on the 20th, we've still been having some cool/cold nights around here. I know its only the been six days since then, but I mean WHERE IS SPRING??? I'm ready for it. I'm ready for some back porch sitting (even though we still have/need stuff for the back porch), for backyard parties, and just getting into Summer mode around here. I'm sure once June rolls around I'll be upset about the heat, but for now I'm over winter and the cold.

I will say we have been soaking up all the sunshine we still have after we get home from work and Gunner loves it too!! Isn't he just the cutest?!?!? LOL Poor thing lets me pretty much torture him. He cracks me up. Happy hump day!!

Project Life Week 9

I'm back with week 9 of Project Life. This week we celebrated my sisters big 4-0 birthday and my nephew's 16th birthday. Craziness I tell ya.

I'm still loving the midnight kit and am glad I went with it this year. Although I have bought other kits and will be using them in  with the midnight kit this year, the midnight kit will be the main kit used. What kit are you using/loving?

Project Life week 7 & 8

Hello week seven! This is one of my fav PL spreads to date and not just because it covers the week of Valentines day, but I really love the colors. It just makes me happy!

Week 8

This week warmed up a bit and that made me happy happy!

We are finally (FINALLY) getting the rock on our house done and that makes me even more HAPPYY HAPPY HAPPY! That has been the worst part in the building of our home. I'm so ready for it to be done so we can move on to the yard and I'm hoping that once its done I'll be more like "ok finally, its done let get this place cleaned up so we can start to show it off". Not that its anything super duper major, but WE BUILT A HOUSE DANG IT AND I WANT PEOPLE TO SEE IT!!! :)

I just had Valentines on the brain and decided to make a LOVE mini album one night. Hopefully i'l get that posted soon. Saturday David had to work and it was so pretty outside that Bethany, Gunner and I went for a hike. It was great to get out. It was also the first time I took Gunner up there to the hiking trails and he loved it. He was a bit to handle at first. He doesn't have a problem with the leash or anything but he just gets so excited to be out and about and around people that he can be a bit to handle until he gets used to it. Thankfully it doesn't take him to terribly long to adjust.

Happy Sunday!

Saturday night

Aww Saturday night, I love it. A rainy Saturday night at home..... even better. We did venture out for a little bit tonight, but not for very long and as soon as we got home the bottom feel out. On the way home I already knew that we would do strawberry sundaes. I had bought some strawberries earlier this week and we hadn't eaten them so today I cut them up and let them sit to get lots a juice. YUM. Nothing special about these sundaes, no great recipe that I found and wanted to try or anything like that. Not even homemade ice cream (so ready for summer so we can make some homemade ice cream though) Just us and of course I had to break out the camera, what can I say?!?!?

Awww.... Saturday nights I love you!

Project Life Week 5

I realized I posted week 6 before I posted week 5 ha! That's the way things have been going around here. So thought I should post week 5 so no one thinks I didn't do it. ;) This week was pretty busy and flipping cold.

Nothing to major as far as crafty goes on this spread, but I still like how it turned out. Every year I say I'm going to stick with one design page protector and every year (except for the first year I did PL) I end up mixing them up. When I started this year I said the same thing, "I'm going to stick with design A the entire year", and here we are in March and I'm thinking about changing it up. I'm not sure when I follow other people who stick with one design I love it and then I'll see someone who mixes up the designs and I want to do that too. So we'll see if I stick with design A or start mixing them up.

Project Life week 6

Welcome to Project Week 6. I know I've said it before, but I'm saying it again (and will probably continue to say it) I have got to stop taking pictures of my layouts at night. I don't know why I keep doing it. That is something I am going to work on this year, my photography for this blog. I mean I know I don't want to look at blogs where the pictures are horrible so why would someone want to look at mine when the pictures are not great?  They wouldn't, so I will be fixing this (hopefully).
Anyway back to it......

This week started out with freezing rain and didn't stop. Crazy the weather we've had this year. I am SO ready for Spring. I usually love the winter, but this year not so much.

And we ended the week with snow. But Saturday, oh Saturday was great. I love the weekends. Speaking of weekends happy almost TGIF!!

Sweethearts Day

Yep that's right, I'm talking about Valentines Day, February 14. And yes I know that we are already in March, but I finally have internet and I'm beyond excited to not have to blog from my phone anymore. Since I know and use my actual computer to post I want to start posting the stuff I didn't want to mess with on my phone and a whole lot of other stuff that I've got planned.

David had to work on Valentines day and on Saturday too so instead of going out we decided to cook at home and just spend the evening together. No fuss or anything. But since this is one of my fav holidays I couldn't just let it be a plain old Friday night at home. I had all sorts of ideas going through my mind and I wanted to do them all, but it just wasn't going to happen. So I opted for just some cute and easy rosettes and of course the heart banner that I've for a couple of years now. I wanted to make lots and lots of rosettes, but to make the big ones it takes two and half sheets of paper and for the most part I didn't have that much paper in one design so I went with some small, med, and large ones.

No lovers day is complete without red velvet cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries. YUM!!

It ended up being a great Valentines at home if I do say so myself.
