Remember This

It's the little moments that make life big!! I think we tend to forget that and when this stamp came in my Studio Calico kit I immediately feel in love with it and had to use it. Often times we think that it's only the big or major things in our life that is work making a fuss over and that's not always the case. Yes, getting married, having kids, buying a house for the first time, getting that job or promotion that you so wanted or deserved are all very big things and worth celebrating, but don't forget the everyday little things are worth celebrating too. And those moments are different for everybody. Take a minute to look around and be thankful the little things in your life, becuase who knows they may not be here tomorrow.

Glitter Heels and Cowboy Boots

Oh how I love date night! We always do a date night when David is home, sometimes its a pretty big deal and other times not so much, but I love it either way. It's time that we get to spend together doing something that one of us has planned and it's always fun. It's a chance to get dressed up and have fun. Like these Steve Madden glitter heels that I LOVE and have had for a year now and haven't worn them anywhere, unless you count around the house just to be able to say why yes, I have worn them thank you very much! Date night for us doesn't always have to be on a Friday or Saturday night, we fit it in whenever we can.

Like Wednesday was date night this go around. We did dinner and a movie. While waiting at the restaurant I brought out the camera and we snapped a few pictures in the parking lot and I love the way they turned out, even though it was WINDY and my hair was all over the place. It was a gorgeous day and we were having fun. Ok I was having fun! David isn't a big fan when I break out the camera remote or use the self-timer on the camera, but you will always find me using both.

These pictures are funny because right before the picture took we were discussing how my 5in heels make me a wee bit taller then him and him saying no your not. I really am though (hehe). While I'm sure people who drove by were wondering what the heck we were doing or why we were doing it, but that's part of the fun too right? (hehe) We watched Hit and Run and it was horrible. Neither one of us liked it, but we stayed till the end. If you don't do date night I highly recommend it. You need to be able to make time for yourself and time for yourself and your husband. I'm already looking forward to the next date night.

Gigi's Cupcakes

Well after being gone for a week for work and then coming home to find that my internet was messed up and then it taking a week to get it fixed I am finally back and able to post. Let me just say that having no internet for a week took some getting used to, but I made it through. So a couple of weeks ago I was in Norman for work and while the training was some old stuff and some new stuff we still had a lot of fun, we still made the most of it while we were there. We would go shoppng and eating and just mess around town and one day we came across Gigi's Cupcakes and knew that we had to try it. So on our last day there we hit it up and tried it out. It took us a while to figure out type we want, but after mch debate we went with Midnight Magic and White Chocolate Raspberry Frappe. They were both very good.

 



Love the little box that the cupcakes came in. Super cute.

 

 

We made a pit stop on the way home to eat them and it was jus the right time for a little sugar high to make it the rest of the way home  and for a few quick pictures.

Project Life Weeks 29 & 30

Project Life

Playing catch up once again with PL, but thats ok it's not the first time and I know it won't be the last time this year.  Week 29 was pretty simple not a whole lot going on.

Week 29



This was the week that I started my 31 by 31. I'll get into that when the time comes. I got some Kelly Purkey stamps and  I am super excited about using these. I got my Chinese Laundry shoes in the mail. They are fabulous, can't wait to wear them.  Also did two cakes on Saturday. 

Week 30

This week had a little more going on. Went to a birthday party on Sunday. Perception has quickly became my new favorite show of the summer. Did my 100th blog post, still can't believe that and on Saturday I did my very first 5K. I didnt run it, I walked it, but that was the plan when I signed up. I'm just excited that I did it and that I finished. I was far from first but I wasnt last either. So go me!! I'm still behind so I'm off to try and get caught up a little more.

The one where we played mini golf twice in one day

This past weekend we did a short little getaway. We headed to Hot Springs, AR for a couple of days. And we had a lot of fun. We started the day off with a hot stone massages. If you've never had one I highly recommend it, they are great.

Then we grabed somethin quick to eat then headed out to go play miniature golf at one of our favorite places. We always play here if its open.

So that was round one of mini golf and it was HOT!! Holy crap it was super hot. Then we headed back to the hotel where we were surpried by my brother and his family who decided on a whim to come down too. So the rest of the day was spent playing pool at the hotel bar and grill and swimming in the pool.

She looks like she doesn't care, but she was really thinking................

I want to play too!!

Then we headed out to the pool for a bit.

Then we decided to get cleaned up to head out to dinner and I even got David to snap a few more pictures.

Then we did round two of golf.





Then we called it a night and headed back to the hotel.  We got up the next morning and headed to Magic Springs and Crystal Falls, a water and theme park. We had a lot of fun. I think David and Tracy had more fun then any of us. I would have had more fun if I would've had a swim suit. Again we weren't prepared for them to come down and for sure not prepared for a theme park.

 After several hours at the park we headed home. Not the relaxing laid back couple of days we were going for, but still a great time. And 100 bonus points to you if you finished this post. Thanks for stopping by.

I Want It Wednesday

I'm back with another IWIW. A few weeks ago I started walking and even did my first 5K. I did walk it not run it, but it still felt good to say that I've done a 5K and who knows maybe one day I'll even get around to actually running a 5K. We'll see. I am still walking because I have a goal that I want to reach and I'm trying to hang in there to see it I can do it (more about that when the time comes). So this weeks want has to do with walking and running.

I am wanting a watch that will help me keep up with my distance and time. I'm loving the bright color of this Nike one.

But this Timex maybe the way to go, since its the cheapest, for now until I see that I am actually going to use/wear one. I'm also on the hunt for a cute, colorful, comfortable, pair of running shoes to. So don't be surprised if that's not nex weeks want. Any good recommendations?

At Almost 31

WOW! Can't believe July is over and August is here, crazy. Summer just flew by and we haven't even been that busy. Where does the time go? Just wanted to pop in and share a layout.
