Sunday Drive

Yesterday after church and a family lunch we decided to go for a Sunday drive and ended up where we usually do. LOL But the weather was nice and being up there is always nice. We just rode around for a few hours and stopped a few times to snap some pictures.
So much fun just riding around and being together. Sometimes I wish we lived somewhere else, somewhere that had more to offer, but then we do something like this and I'm like nope, we'll just hang here. Happy Monday! Hope y'all have a great week.

Project Life Weeks 34 & 35

Happy almost Friday peeps!! Yes, two more weeks of project life today and that means I'm all caught up with sharing what weeks I have done here on the old blog and that puts a smile on face. :)
First up week 34. This week was a long but good one. By Friday I was ready for it to be over though and we celebrated it with pizza, brownies and ice cream and blanket in the back yard. Although it was pretty hot and we didn't hang outside long LOL I still enjoyed it. And Saturday my niece was in a pageant and she was so cute.
And week 35 was another pretty good week to us. We did our first canoe trip of the summer and the weather was perfect for it. I figured it was going to be way to hot, but it was just right and there was hardly any people on the river so bonus! Tuesday was national dog day so me Gunner spent some time outside together.
I made chocolate chip banana cupcakes and so excited to try them but ended up not liking them at ALL and neither did David. In the end I threw them out. :(  At least now I know that I should stick with plain ole banana nut bread. On Friday we finally got our chairs and buffet in that we ordered and I am loving them both. I was a little worried that they wouldn't match the kitchen cabinets or the table, but they go together really well. On Saturday I scored a ticket the first OU game of the season and went with my sister-in-law. Talk about hot, but it was still so much fun. Again can't go wrong with a girls weekend that involves football, food, and shopping.

Journaling Bible

A couple of weeks ago I ordered a new Bible, but not just your normal or average Bible, I ordered a new journaling Bible and I am in love. While our old Bible has things marked or underlined in it, this Bible has wide margins for you to doodle or draw or jot down your thoughts on a certain passage or even what the sermon at church was about. I first came across the idea of using a journaling Bible as more of a way to be artsy from Shanna Noel   on Instagram   and knew that this was the perfect way for me to not only study His word and learn, but to be able to scratch that creative itch. I mean its a win-win situation!!
I ordered the King James Version, because I'm a KJV person all the way. To me there is just something about this version that seems truer than the other versions. Yes, its hard to understand and most of the time I'm more confused than not, but God sees me through and that's what matters! While I know some versions have just changed up the language there are others that have completely changed what was written and I do not like it one bit. I've just started this process and I have decided that this is something that I want to do (or try to do) every Sunday after church when the sermon is still fresh in my mind. Of course if God puts something on my heart then it doesn't matter what day it is.
This was my first page and to be honest I was a little hesitant to start 'drawing" or "scrapbooking" in this new clean Bible, but I also knew that once I did the first page it would all be over and there would be no going back. So I told myself, "umm isn't this the reason you bought this Bible?" So I started and I haven't looked back since.
And my second page. I'm loving this page and I'm looking forward to learning more about Him and His word. This is for sure going to be one great adventure.

Project Life Weeks 32 & 33

Wahoo!! I'm back today to share a couple more weeks of my PL album. Nothing too special about any of these spreads, but for some reason the next couple of weeks I'm loving how, for the most part, turned out.

And week 33

Started this week with the girls birthday parties and ended it with a trip to Ikea and the cheesecake factory and the date night, my favorite night!! I'll be back with some PL layouts. Hope you're having an amazing week.

Project Life Week 30 & 31

WAHOO!!  Its Friday and I'm so excited. It's also a double dose of project life today too. Nothing to major going on as far techniques and things goes, more like trying to get six weeks of it caught up and posted. Six weeks!?!??!! I haven't been that behind in a long time. July and August both were pretty busy months, but that's A OK with me, I love being busy and making memories.
This week we came home from on weekend getaway only to set out for Vegas on Friday. I stole the room key and had to include it and the tickets from the one show we saw while in Vegas. Zumanity, it was pretty good and I'd see it again.

Week 31

Once we got home from Vegas on Monday the rest of the week was pretty low key. Trying to recover from two vacations low key is an must. But now I'm rested and ready to go again. TGIF!! Any fun plans for the weekend?

Summer Lovin'

Hello! Hope you enjoyed the long holiday weekend, I know I sure did just wish it was longer. I finished my mini album from the class that I took at Studio Calico with Marcy Penner and wanted to share it today. I loved this class and all the takes on everyone's albums. So many different ways to incorporate the lessons. So sit back relax and grab your favorite drink, this is going to be a very picture heavy post.

Whew!! If you made it to the end then you get 500 bonus points. LOL. This is the second mini album I did using these 4x4 albums and I'm loving them. I have a couple more that need to be filled up and I'm trying to decided what to use them for. Have you used one yet? If not I recommend trying it.
