Project Life Week 21

Project Life

Another week wrapped up. Like I said in my earlier post this past week and weekend were both non stop. This weeks PL is all pictures with just a little journaling about what went on. Please excuse the messy desk.

I'm really loving how this week turned out. I hope to have more layouts like this in the future.

Weekend Recap

This weekend was crazy busy. David got home Thursday and we just went from there. It seems like we were hardly home, but it was loads of fun. Here's a few pictures from the weekend. I took lots and lots of pictures, but I'll only bore you with a few.

It was such a pretty day Saturday, we spent it here.

Doing a little target practice.
armed and slightly dangerous

Monday was spent here, at the lake.

We had great weather all weekend long. It was nice to be able to spend most of it outside. I hope everyone had a great holidy. Now I need another long weekend to help me recover from this one.

Project Life Week 20

Project Life

I can't believe that there is only one week left in May. That's just crazy. Before you know it 2012 will be over and we'll be in 2013. Sometimes life just goes to fast. I've week 20 to share today.

Mother's day, a little shopping, trying to get my scrap room organized, first cut of hay, The Avengers, and birthday cakes (which you've already seen).

That's my Mom, my oldest sister, and my twin brother. Yep, I have a twin brother. I also have another older sister, but she was pretty sick that whole week and didn't make to Mom's for Mother's Day.
Another week wrapped! I'm looking forward to the long weekend. Thank goodness for holidays right? Any big plans for the weekend?

I Want It Wednesday

As I type this, I'm trying to talk my husband into letting me order it.  I mean it's on sale, it's free shipping, there is even an additonal 10% off and did I mention it's on sale?  Found this set at Sears. I've been looking for a patio set forever. Don't get me wrong I've found plenty that I've really liked even some that I loved, but just wasn't willing to fork up thousands of dollars on a set. But that's just me. Do you know what I could do with a couple thousand dollars? Well I do and it doesn't involve a patio set. At least not at this time. All the reviews on this were good, except I guess it's more on the blackish side than the brown that it looks like in the picutre. I'm fine with that. Black or a dark brown both work for me. It would be great to have this here by this weekend, but even if I get him talked into it, I don't think it'll ship that fast. Hey, I can wait a week or so on it to ship, I'm not too picking. (wink)

How about ya'll. Have you came across any great sets that are inexpensive?

Zebra stripes and a Ladybug

This weekend we had two of my nieces birthday parties (their birthdays are 3 days apart so they just have one party) and the theme was Zebra and ladybugs. Really cute themes. I did the cakes and the youngest one (who just turmed 2) was so excited when I got there with the cakes, she just kept running around and yelling "birthday cake, birthday cake, birthday cake". She was very happy and all she cared about was the cakes. But can you blame you? I usually run aroud yelling when theres cake too. (wink) So with the themes set I tried to decide what to make for the cakes and this is what I came up with.

I messed up on the eyes here.

They both really seemd to like them which makes me very happy. I've got another little cake to do this weekend and then cupcakes do to next week and then several more in June. I'm going to be pretty busy with cakes the next little bit.  Thanks for stopping by.

Dare to Dream

Just a little reminder that we all need to have dreams. It doesn't matter if those dreams are big or small they are yours and nothing should stop you from having them.

Because w/out dreams we have nothing. The future is what dreams are made of.

Project Life Week 19

Project Life

Week 19

You thought I was already behind again with this project huh? I'm still caught up as far as the week goes, just behind in getting it posted.  Being able to work on one week at a time makes it so much easier. This really is one of the best ways to document your life and I love that.

Not a lot going on this past week, but hey that's life right?

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Friday's eve. XOXO, me

7 yrs.

7 yrs ago today, David and I said "I do". I can't believe it's already been seven years, that's crazy. I mean we're pushing a decade here! We made it through the rough first year and now the seven year slump. We've come along ways in the past seven years. We've grown together and as individuals. We've had our ups and downs, but I wouldn't trade it for  anything. It's been a great ride and I'm looking forward to a lot longer one with him.

I am very lucky to have him in my life. Happy Anniversary Babe! I love you.

I Want It Wednesday

I really, really, really want to take this class...

I love Karen's blog and her pictures. I've been wanting to take her photography class for a while now and I wanted to make sure that it made it to IWIW. And with my anniversary just a few days away I wanted to make sure that the Mr. has plenty of ideas to choose from (this being one). I took a photography class last year and learned so very much and since then I've tried to make sure that I only shoot in manual mode that way I have control over all of the settings. I'm glad that I took that class becasue I knew one of these days I would get to take Karen's class and hopefully I'd be able to keep up and understand. You really should go check her blog out, not only is she a great photographer she's very funny.

Project Life Week 18

Project Life

That's right I'm all caught up and I have a big smile on my face. It'll feel good to be able to do this project just one week at a time.

Week 18
This week Bethany and I went to Dallas to see Rosie Thomas. The girl can sing. If you've never heard anything by her, you really should look her up. The only compliant I have is that she didn't sing my favorite song, Farewell, but that's ok. We had fun and I'm glad that I was able to see her in concert. Didn't get home until after 3 am, but so worth it.

Ready for another week! Thanks for stopping by.

Boys Will Be Boys

Wanted to share this layout I did about my two oldest nephews. They really are funny guys and have  me rolling most of the time.

The title, I think, says it all. Boys will be boys, even when those boys are men.

Us and Home

I've got a quick page to share using Studio Calico's City of Lights kit.

I really liked the papers in this kit and I am working on using them all up. I really do enjoy doing this hobby, I just wish that I was way more creative. But this works for me and who knows maybe one day it'll just click and the creative juices will flow freely.

I Want It Wednesday

New Fujifilm PIVI MP-300 MP300 Printer With 100 Photo
found here

It prints pictures from your digital camera onto mini polaroid film. Super cute!!

I had this on my birthday list and had it in my basket and was ready to check out and for some unknown reason I backed out of buying it. I still don't know why I didn't buy it, I've been wanting one forever. So here it is again on my list of wants. Maybe one of these days (hopefully soon) it will find its way to a new home, my home that is. It doesnt seem all that different form my mini Instax, but it really is. I can take a great picture with my DSLR and then print it and know that it will be a good picture.  With the mini Instax you get what you get. If I had know about this printer before I bought my Instax I would have bought this and not the Instax, but hey why can't I have both righ?

Project Life Weeks 15 & 16

Project Life
Week 15

I'm still loving the desing E page protector. I'm trying to figure out where/when I can use them again.

I really like the way that picture of me turned out. I like the way I messed it when I printed it and it cut half myself off, but the good things is at least this way you can't see how wide my butt is. hehe

Week 16

The big things about this week was Tax day and David was home for a few days.

Is two to young for me to put "Cinderalla" to work? It was so funny she went through almost the whole thing of wipes just on the coffee table.

I keep getting closer to being caught up and I am super happy about it. As I'm sure you are to, seeing as how most of my post the past several weeks have been mostly PL posts. Thanks for stopping by.
