I Want It Wednesday

This time last year I was on the hunt for a dress to wear to a wedding and was having the hardest time trying to find something that I liked. After looking for something forever to wear I found a dress and bought it, but really wasn't super excited about it. Well this year I have come across a dress that I am loving and have no where to wear it too.

Project Life Week 24

Project Life

Finally getting week 24 posted. And I'm still working on week 25. Staying caught up was fun while it lasted. (hehe)  Not a lot going on this week, couple bad days at work, but then Friday finally came around and it was good again. (wink) Anyways here it is.

Got to see Jamie O'neal and Mark Wills on Saturday night a loval festival. It was a lot of fun and not super hot which was good. Another week wrapped up. Thanks for looking.

A Firefighter and Hello Kitty

This past weekend I made two cakes for a set of twins. The little boy wanted a firefighter cake while the little girl wanted Hello Kitty. Both are super cute ideas and I think both cakes turned out pretty cute. I hope that everyone else thought so too.



I Wwant It Wednesday

I have been fighting with my paper cutter for sometime now and I WANT a new one. Not only do I want a new/good  one, but I want one that will cut evenly and be able to cut through paper, cardstock, photos, chipboard and whatever else I may through at it. I've been on the lookout for one that will do all of that and more and I think I may have found it. The CutterPillar.

All of the reviews are great and I think I need one. They currently are sold out (sigh), but hopefully they'll get some more in stock and soon. I've been added to the mailing list so that they'll notify me when they get some back in. I can't wait to to get one and try out it. I'm already excited. 

Project LIfe Week 23

Sharing week 23 today. Not a lot going on this past week, but that's ok. Of course the biggest thing that happened this past week was David's birthday.  If you have any questions about this project you should really head over to Becky Higgins' blog where she explains everything from how she came up with the idea for PL to what it's about and how to get started. She even has a design team for inspiration. Lots of good stuff over there. Anyway here is week 23.

Made these shark cupcakes for Melissa's, a lady I work with, little boy's birthday. This pictures isn't great, but it's all I've got. I also did a smash cake that had a big shark fin coming out of it, but I didn't take any pictures of it. I have no idea what I was thinking. I love to do cupcakes and when she asked me to do cupcakes I was super excited. I can get cupcakes whipped out in no time, but OMG every time I turned around something was going wrong while I was trying to get these done. I managed to get them done and both her and her son seemed to really like them. I hope so.

On Saturday I went a luncheon for a lady that I work with who is retiring. She's not retiring  because she wants to, but because she is losing her eyesight and has too. It's a sad situation, but she seems to be in good spirits and is going with the flow. I wish her all the best and I hope that she doesn't let this get her down.

Hello Monday

Hello there Monday, today we are going to get along and everything is going to go smoothly right? 



 

Can't believe its Monday again. The weekends are not near long enough.  It really should be a law that the weekends are at least three days all the time. Here's to a good Monday and a good week. With any luck it'll be fast and painless. Is it bad that I'm already looking forward to Friday?? I know I know I'm wishing my life away, but I'm only wishing it away Monday through Friday at 5pm!

I got the June Studio Calico kit, So Cal  in the mail yesterday and I have to say that I'm loving this kit. As soon as I opened it up I just had to make something and this is what I came up. Once I got started it came together really fast and I love when that happens because then (for me anyway) your in the mood and want to do more.



I'm off to finish some more projects with this kit.

Oh 31!

Today is June 6 and we all know what that means, it's my most favorite persons birthday.

The big 31. Officially "in" his 30's. What happened to our 20's? Before you know it we"ll be 40 and wondering where our 30's went. It's crazy to think about sometimes, but that's life.

We knew he wouldn't be home for his birthday so last weekend when he was home we had a little get together at the house. Nothing big, just simple and easy going. . There was no theme this year. Last years theme was "dirty thirty" (I mean what else goes with thirty).

I made him a cake, but we had a little one that couldn't wait to get her hands on a piece that before we knew what was going on she had her head in the fridge and came out saying "mmmmm....good" hehe. She is a mess, but we love her to death. Guess next time I'll make sure to take a picture of the cake before I put it up.

(you can tell i didn't level the cake before i started icing and where someone got their finger in it and i had to try to fix it)

Anyway back on track. So today David turns 31 and I wanted to make a list of 31 things that I love about him, so here goes........

1-10. his fingers

10-20 his toes

21-22 his eyes

Just kidding. While it would be easy for me to make a list of things that I love, I won't make you read through it.

I will say that I hate that we aren't together to celebrate, but I hope you have a great day. I love you and miss you much.

Can't believe it's already June. Craziness I tell ya.  I'm still loving this project and keeping up with daily life (or trying to keep up).

Week 22

Went to go see Snow White and the Huntman on Saturday, I've been wanting to see this movie for months now and while I thought it was pretty good it wasn't as good as I had hoped it would be.
