K & R
October is month full of birthdays, family members and friends both. Almost every week in October I know someone who is having a birthday. This week two of my very best friends and co-workers had birthdays just one day apart. We did lunch and then back at the office we had cupcakes that I made, both lunch and the cupcakes were delish. I whipped up cards for both girls and thought I would share them today. I'm not really a card maker, but I also have stopped buying cards because I refuse to spend six or seven dollars on something that most people just toss anyway. With as much scrapbooking stuff that I have making a card is not a problem so that's what I did.
Very simple cards, but I think super cute. I also did some embossing on both and even sprayed the top with one with some Heidi Swapp color shine. It didn't take me 15 min to create both cards and the envelopes for them. That's my kind of craftiness. :)
And since its Friday and the cupcakes were Auh-maz-ing I couldn't show them, but I mean can you really go wrong with chocolate cake with a surprise in the middle (a mini reese's) and peanut butter frosting? I think not. I found the recipe on Pinterest and had to try it out and I'm so glad that I did. Of course her recipe called for you take make the cake from scratch I think not, I mean who has time for that?? But the frosting is a keeper for sure. Here's to a great weekend!!

Golden Hour
Aww.... the golden hour! During the Fall its amazing and I'm always trying to think of reasons to take pictures when the sun is just right in the sky. Today with out reason I just decided to snap a couple quick pictures and just watch the sky for a bit. I love it. But with it comes the understanding that the days are getting shorter and before I know it by the time I get home from work it'll be dark outside. Right now I have about 45min once I get home to enjoy daylight before it starts to get dark on me. So maybe that was my reason in taking a few quick pictures today. Because in a couple of weeks I won't be able to.
It really is the best time of day to enjoy, I think. I've always loved the winter, but fall runs a pretty tight race.

Birthday Wish list
So my birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks (Nov. 5) and I've been searching the net for all kinds of goodies to add to my wish list that way the Mister can't say he didn't have a clue about what to get me. While I don't mind being surprised as far as gifts go, sometimes there are specific things that I want and I try to make sure he knows about those too. ;) These are just a few items that I've had my eye on lately and believe me there are a lot of others things that I'll be adding to my Christmas list too!!!
1. camera bag I've been on the hunt for a new camera bag for awhile now and I'm loving this one.
2. hat I've been seeing so many people wear hats during the Fall and I WANT ONE TOO. I'm not sure I'll be able to pull of the Fall hat, but I'm going to give it a try.
3. pink typewriter OMG, a typewriter doesn't really have to be pink, I could go for a teal or black one even, but how cute is this pink one?
4. Instax printer you know I love my Instax camera, I mean it stays in my purse and I pull it out any given time. How awesome is it that this printer prints pictures from your phone!?!??! Plus its has
Wi-Fi and uses batteries.... double score.
5. cupcake plates one word... CUTENESS. I mean you don't even need a reason to want these they are so cute that I think everybody should have them.
We'll see how well the hubs does and what one he goes with. I can't wait.

Journaling Bible
Happy hump day!! It's the middle of the week which the weekend is fast approaching....wahoo!! Wanted to share some more of my page from my journaling Bible. I'm still loving this idea and look forward to doing each week. When I started this I knew that I didn't want it to just be a glorified coloring book. I wanted it to be something that helped me to understand God's word better and to get more out of the messages that are preached on Sundays. And so far I think it's seem to be helping with both of these. I now take notes during church, which I never did before and I pay more attention to the service. So yes, this is a very good thing in so many ways.

Project Life week 36 & 37
TGIF!!!! Hello and happy Friday all. Sorry I haven't been around for awhile, but wanted to pop in really quick today to share a couple of week of my project life album. Where is this year going?? Crazy that Halloween is here and before we know Thanksgiving and Christmas. I can't believe the Christmas stuff and the countdown to Christmas is already here. Its true Monday-Friday I wish my life away while I'm at work ONLY, but dang time sure does seem to be flying by. Anyway back to weeks 36 and 37, nothing grand or anything about these spreads just kind of threw them together so I could move onto the next week. But I'm totally okay with that to be honest. I mean its my book and I can do it however I want right?!
This week started off with the rest of our girls weekend trip and ended with date night. A fun week if I do say so myself.
Week 37 was a pretty good week too. It started off with a little 4-wheeler adventure that last for a few hours (so much fun) and ended with another OU football game. Trying to plan some Fall adventures too and hoping that it all works out. What about you any fun Fall adventures? Have a great weekend.

Sunday Drive
Yesterday after church and a family lunch we decided to go for a Sunday drive and ended up where we usually do. LOL But the weather was nice and being up there is always nice. We just rode around for a few hours and stopped a few times to snap some pictures.
So much fun just riding around and being together. Sometimes I wish we lived somewhere else, somewhere that had more to offer, but then we do something like this and I'm like nope, we'll just hang here. Happy Monday! Hope y'all have a great week.

Project Life Weeks 34 & 35
Happy almost Friday peeps!! Yes, two more weeks of project life today and that means I'm all caught up with sharing what weeks I have done here on the old blog and that puts a smile on face. :)
First up week 34. This week was a long but good one. By Friday I was ready for it to be over though and we celebrated it with pizza, brownies and ice cream and blanket in the back yard. Although it was pretty hot and we didn't hang outside long LOL I still enjoyed it. And Saturday my niece was in a pageant and she was so cute.
And week 35 was another pretty good week to us. We did our first canoe trip of the summer and the weather was perfect for it. I figured it was going to be way to hot, but it was just right and there was hardly any people on the river so bonus! Tuesday was national dog day so me Gunner spent some time outside together.
I made chocolate chip banana cupcakes and so excited to try them but ended up not liking them at ALL and neither did David. In the end I threw them out. :( At least now I know that I should stick with plain ole banana nut bread. On Friday we finally got our chairs and buffet in that we ordered and I am loving them both. I was a little worried that they wouldn't match the kitchen cabinets or the table, but they go together really well. On Saturday I scored a ticket the first OU game of the season and went with my sister-in-law. Talk about hot, but it was still so much fun. Again can't go wrong with a girls weekend that involves football, food, and shopping.

Journaling Bible
A couple of weeks ago I ordered a new Bible, but not just your normal or average Bible, I ordered a new journaling Bible and I am in love. While our old Bible has things marked or underlined in it, this Bible has wide margins for you to doodle or draw or jot down your thoughts on a certain passage or even what the sermon at church was about. I first came across the idea of using a journaling Bible as more of a way to be artsy from Shanna Noel on Instagram and knew that this was the perfect way for me to not only study His word and learn, but to be able to scratch that creative itch. I mean its a win-win situation!!
I ordered the King James Version, because I'm a KJV person all the way. To me there is just something about this version that seems truer than the other versions. Yes, its hard to understand and most of the time I'm more confused than not, but God sees me through and that's what matters! While I know some versions have just changed up the language there are others that have completely changed what was written and I do not like it one bit. I've just started this process and I have decided that this is something that I want to do (or try to do) every Sunday after church when the sermon is still fresh in my mind. Of course if God puts something on my heart then it doesn't matter what day it is.
This was my first page and to be honest I was a little hesitant to start 'drawing" or "scrapbooking" in this new clean Bible, but I also knew that once I did the first page it would all be over and there would be no going back. So I told myself, "umm isn't this the reason you bought this Bible?" So I started and I haven't looked back since.
And my second page. I'm loving this page and I'm looking forward to learning more about Him and His word. This is for sure going to be one great adventure.

Project Life Weeks 32 & 33
Wahoo!! I'm back today to share a couple more weeks of my PL album. Nothing too special about any of these spreads, but for some reason the next couple of weeks I'm loving how, for the most part, turned out.
And week 33
Started this week with the girls birthday parties and ended it with a trip to Ikea and the cheesecake factory and the date night, my favorite night!! I'll be back with some PL layouts. Hope you're having an amazing week.
And week 33

Project Life Week 30 & 31
WAHOO!! Its Friday and I'm so excited. It's also a double dose of project life today too. Nothing to major going on as far techniques and things goes, more like trying to get six weeks of it caught up and posted. Six weeks!?!??!! I haven't been that behind in a long time. July and August both were pretty busy months, but that's A OK with me, I love being busy and making memories.
This week we came home from on weekend getaway only to set out for Vegas on Friday. I stole the room key and had to include it and the tickets from the one show we saw while in Vegas. Zumanity, it was pretty good and I'd see it again.
Week 31
Once we got home from Vegas on Monday the rest of the week was pretty low key. Trying to recover from two vacations low key is an must. But now I'm rested and ready to go again. TGIF!! Any fun plans for the weekend?
