Be Happy

Wanted to share this really simple and easy page today. I did this layout as a reminder to Be Happy and to choose to be happy. I know there are things in life that get thrown our way and for the most part it isn't stuff we wanted or needed, but it is what it is and for what ever reason it was handed to us. I know that its easier said than done, but this is something that I want to try and work on this year. Life just seems better when your happy right? I guess I'll see.

Just popping in to share a quick page. I used some Instax picutres from our snow day back in December. I love how it turned out, but wish that the actually Instax pictures were a little brighter. I usually have my Instax camera with me at all times and I was really happy that I had it with me that day. Although I do wish I would have had my big girl camera too. But IRL these pictures that dark so it's all good. I hope you have a great weekend. 

Project Life 2013

 

I finally received my PL kit in the mail last week and so far all I've been able to do is the title page. I'm using the seafoam kit this year and I love it. The colors will work great with just about any color I want to add and it's not too girly, so win win right?  Along with the seafoam kit I will be using design A photo pockets and design F. I noticed that las year I liked these two pages together and that by using them together I can add a lot more pictures. So we'll see how it works. I still a bunch of other photo pockets that I didn't use last year so I'm sure I'll throw in something different every now and then to shake things up a bit. (hehe). 

 

 

I just got back from my little weekend getaway so my plans are to try and get a couple weeks of PL done and then hopefully all caught up this weekend.

Went on a little getaway this weekend, a much needed one if I do say so myself, to Pennsylvania.

 



 

 

Our connecting flight in Charlotte was cancelled and we had to hang out for an extra two hours for the last one, which meant that I got to look at this for way longer than I wanted to, but we made it and all is good.

Before I zipped up my over packed suitcase I threw in my new book, Instant Love to go with my Instax. I have big plans to put both to good use this weekend. Hope your weekend is great.

Trying to get used to  it being 2013. I find myself having to correct the date on most of the stuff I've been doing at work. But currently around here..........

Drinking- Diet Dr. Pepper

Eating- not as much junk food (or trying to)

Reading- Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Womans' Soul and so far loving it

Wearing- the clothes I wore to work thinking a pair of sweats sure sound good and that I need to change.

Watching- Psych on DVD

Wishing- that David was home

Thinking- I need to get off here and get to cleaning

Hoping- 2013 is a great year

Weather- raining and cold

Enjoying- my new iPAD

Wondering- if we'll get our house sold

Wanting- my new shoes to hurry up and get here already

Celebrating- my Grandma's 84th birthday

Project Life Week 50 & 51

HELLO 2013! Can't believe that today is 1-1-13, but it is so I'm trying to get Project Life for 2012 wrapped up so I can get started on 2013. I've weeks 50 & 51 to share today and then I'll finish up week 52 (hopefully today) and I'll get that posted soon.

Only one more week to post for PL 2012. Thanks for going through this journey with me this year. While I'll continue to do PL in 2013 I haven't decided on if I'll be sharing my weekly spreads again on the blog or not. I guess once I get started on it I'll make up my mind. Again thanks for visiting my blog in 2012, I hope you'll continue to visit in 2013. I also hope that everyone had a fun and safe new years eve and that 2013 brings you all that you need/want.

A Camping We Will Go.....Goodbye 2012

This past weekend we decided to pack it up and head out camping to ring in the new year. Yes even with all the snow and freezing temps we headed out on Friday with the intention of staying till January 1, 13. But after waking up two mornings in a row with our water frozen and then waking up to freezing rain today (Monday) we decided to call it good and packed everything back up and headed home, thankfully we were only about 15 mintues from home so it wasn't a super long trip to get home.

 Now don't get me wrong I could do without the freezing temps, but all in all I had a good time. 

And I think that the snow just adds to the beaut of the park.

My brother and his family came up and hung out with us and this little one didn't mind one bit that it was freezing outside as long a were at the park, which was right by our camp.

Then we decided to go on a little adventure to see what the rest of the park looked like with all of the snow. I would have loved to go on a hike, but didn't want to chance getting lost. hehe!

The bridge to cross the little creek was closed off so we waded across it, thankfully it wasnt very deep.

I've got lots more pictures from our little camping adventure, but I'm off to party hardy -in a nice dry, warm, & cozy place- to ring in 2013.

Project Life Weeks 48 & 49

I am playing major catch up on my PL. I got so far behind once December started and my December Daily album started that I just knew that I'd be finishing PL 2012 after 2013 had started, but I think I just might be able to get caught up and have it finished before 2013 starts. We shall see. I do have weeks 48 and 49 I want to share today.

When I started working on this week I didnt even open my album before I started printing the pictures and then once I had all of my pictures printed I realized that I shouldn't have printed them all standard 4x6 but I was not about to go back reprint all of the pictures so I made it work which is one of the things I love about project life. So added all of the photos to the right side of the spread and all of the journaling to the left side.

Week 49

week 49 was a pretty good week, the best part was that I got my Cameo and I've been using that thing like crazy. I even did a few DIY Christmas gifts this year becuase of it and I've got so many more ideas I want to try. Can't wait. Thanks for stopping by. 

It Was A White Christmas After All!

I was so hoping for a white Chirstmas and after raining ALL. DAY. LONG it finally started snowing and it was so pretty. I love when it snows, I always have. And the fact that we were up in the hills just made it that much prettier.

All of these were taking from inside our warm and toasty vehicle.

But we did venture out into it to snap a couple quick pictures of us and bout froze because we were not dressed for snow and the freezing cold, but for rain.

And because of all this white stuff we got a snow day which means no work and all play for me so I'm off to get bundled up and head outside. Hope everyone's Christmas was great!!
