December Daily-day 1

Hello December!! How crazy is that, that it's already the end of 2015? I wanted to share day one of my December daily album today. Once again I'm using the 4x6 size and so far I'm really liking it. Of course seeing what others are doing with the bigger 6x8 size kind of makes me wish I'd have gone with that size, but it is what it is.
The title page. I cut up one of the transparencies that came with the kit and added a few emblishments to it.
I used a free calendar printable from Marie Lottermoser from A Stitch in time and just resized to 3x4. So cute!
And finally the story of day one. It was about our "tree" or lack of one since we are living in the camper. But I really like the way this "tree" setup looks.
I messed up the journaling card when I printed it and it was really to small, but decided to roll with it anyway.
And finished the spread off with a cute little heart and tree word. Hoping this weekend to get my others days photographed since it's dark by the time I get home from work and when I photograph them of a morning (when I have time) I don't really like the way they look either. We'll see. Happy Friday eve!!

Gathering & organizing

It's that time again!! For December daily that is. Can't believe that tomorrow is the first day of the last month of 2015?!?!?!! Man this year flew by, well parts of it did anyway and other parts seem to be still dragging. LOL I spent some time yesterday going through and sorting my supplies for my album this year. I'm really excited about this project this year. I ordered my first ever DD kit from Ali Edwards and love it. I also ordered the 4x6 album instead of the 6x8 for a couple of different reasons. One being that our space is limited in the camper so smaller size album means less space and I've never done an album this size.

This was the size album that was in the 2012 (I believe) kit and I loved seeing how people made it work for them and I can't wait to make it work for me too. I thought about getting some foundation pages ready, but decided against it since I'm not sure what will be going on each day and if I'll be doing one or two pages per day. More than likely itll be a mix of one and two page spreads.

I'm also still trying to decide on how I want to do the intro page. Hopefully I'll get that finalized tonight! But for now I'm just excited to keep the Thanksgiving holiday spirit going and growing right on into December and Christmas. How about you, are you doing a December daily album ir documenting your holidays some way?

Project Life weeks 34 & 35

Hey there Wednesday. Back with another two weeks today. Almost caught up with posting my PL spreads.
This week was another fun one and it ended with a little brunch party at the house. It was the first time that I had made and ate chicken and waffles. But it wont be the last time. I really liked it. Not sure why it took me so long to try it. And it was the last little get together at the house before we moved.
Here's hoping the rest of the week goes fast!!

Project Life Weeks 32 & 33

And we're back with weeks 32 & 33 today.
This was a fun and pretty busy week. I'm all about fun weeks and being able to look back at them makes them even better.
And week 33 was also the week that Ali Edwards did her week in the life project and I decided to give it another try again this year. I still have high hopes that I'll get this year and last years albums done. Not sure it'll happen before December Daily starts or even by the end of the year. But they are both still on my lists of projects to get finished. Hope your Tuesday is going good.

Project Life Weeks 30 & 31

Good Monday morning!  I hope everyone had a great weekend. We had a great weekend here with fantastic weather. I'm so far behind on posting my project life spreads that over the next week I'll be posting two to three weeks per day in order to get them all posted. I'm only a few weeks behind in being all caught up in the album and my goal is to get completely caught up with it and all weeks posted before December rolls around and I get started on the holidays and December Daily. So bare with me over this next week and all the PL posts. I'm going to keep the words to a minimum on these posts since they will already be long with photos.  First up is week 30.
And week 31
I really like the way this week turned out, not sure why but I do. Hope your Monday goes great!

Happy Halloween

How is it that October is already over and that we are into November?!?!?!?? Can't believe that this year is almost over. I was pretty excited about Halloween this year, not really sure why but I was. I ended up hanging out with these cuties (three of my nieces) any my sis-in-law and had a blast. We decided to trick or treat in the country club this year and went a little early so I could get some pictures before it got dark and we set out.

And then we were off to get some candy!!
Leaving the broom behind because according to her it was too heavy and it kind of was.
These folks were great. I didn't think I was going to talk any of the girls into taking a picture with them, but in the end they all got in the shot. Wish C's face wasn't blurry but who well.

And even though about thirty mins in it was like we were hanging out with three little old women, with their "I'm tired, my legs hurt, I need to sit down, my feet hurt, my neck hurts", we still had a blast.
And of course I can't leave out Gunner. This picture cracks me up way more than it probably should. Hope you had a safe and happy Halloween. Now onto the best two months of the year!

Project Life weeks 28 & 29

Keeping it simple was key for me in order to get caught up in project life album. Like I've said before I'm all about changing up the page protectors to work with the number of pictures I've got the week and to be honest I'm loving how it looks when I flip through my album. Now that doesn't mean that by the time 2016 rolls around I won't have made up my mind about doing a 9x12 or even a 6x12 album. I'm loving Kelly Purkey's album this year. It's awesome, but still not sure if 6x12 is the right size for me for a whole year. We shall see. Anyway on to week 28
Tried out a new braided hairstyle on Sunday. Left over pool hair and not wanting to wash it will do that to ya, but I'm totally okay with that because I LOVED the way it turned out and will for sure being doing it again (on clean and dirty hair)!! Ice cream is my down fall and I'm not even mad about it. I could/can eat it everyday. We have spent a lot of time in the pool since we got it and I'm already thinking about how I'm going to miss it when we take it down to store when we move.
Lunch dates, movies dates, dinner dates, ice cream dates, any kind of dates with the Mr. is my favorite. I used one of Kelly Purkey's stamps from her sunshine kit several times on these two weeks That captured stamp was the reason I signed up for the Studio Calico Project Life kits and I'm so glad that I did. I have loved every PL kit I've gotten so far, but I decided to cancel my scrapbooking kit subscription because I can't afford both, and I'm pretty sad about that. But I'll make do with what I've got and what I can afford.

I have to admit week 29 is one of my favorite weeks in my PL album, I just love. it.
Maybe it's because this week started off with national ice cream day!?!? Or maybe it was the free printables from Kelly Purkey?!?!? Or maybe it's because I was still celebrating national ice cream on Monday?!??! Either way this week started off great and ended great and I think that shows in the spread.

Ended the week at that lake. It was SO HOT, but SO MUCH FUN! Since we had all that flooding at the beginning of Summer and the lake was closed for most of it this was only the second time we were up there and was actually able to get in the water. Hope your long holiday weekend is treating you right.

Project life week 27

Happy Labor Day weekend!!! I am so ready for a long weekend let me tell ya. Between work and packing up the house of an evening when I get home I need three days to get some stuff done. Not to mention I was having problems with blogger and haven't been able to get a post up. That's why I'm coming at you tonight late, but wanted to get some more PL spreads posted. So here's week 27.
This week started off by celebrating two of my nieces birthdays. There actually birthdays is in May, but life is busy so they were just now getting around to it. And then I was off Monday due to the holiday (I'm all about them holidays) and so of course I made pancakes. YUMMY!!
The rest of the week was kind of a crazy one. That picture of David and me on the top right, that was the night that we first showed our house and now I'm packing it up to move out it!! Finished the weekend off with movie night at home and a pool day ALL day on Saturday. That sunset though.

South Carolina: mini album part 3

Hello and welcome back. Wanted to finally get the third and final part of our vacation mini album up today since I've got several other projects in the works right now, the big one being finishing my week in the life album. I'm feeling pretty confident that I will actually get it completed this year and in doing so I'm hoping that inspires me to finish last years album too. We shall see. But for now here is the rest of our vacation ablum. This last part was the time we spent in Charleston.

Oh so much fun! Boone Hall Plantation was one of my favorite things that we got to do while we were there. It was so beautiful and had so much history. We also did a ghost tour one night and it started out awesome, but then by the end I was over it and ready for IT to be over. Not really what I was thinking it was going to be, but still learned a lot about downtown Charleston. I'm really looking forward to going back one day. I know there was so much that we didn't get to see.
