Wanted to pop in really quick and share weeks 21 and 22 today. Week twenty-one was a pretty busy week and that always makes for a pretty photo heavy spread and I love when that happens.
Cay was so cute at her dance recital. I love watching the little ones dance, they crack me up. But the best part was each time after her dance she walked to the edge of the stage and put her hand over her eyes so she could see out into the crowd and tried to find us. It was the cutest and funniest thing. When she got back to where we were sitting she said, "I couldn't see y'all."
Week 22 started off with a day a the lake and the rest of the week wasn't bad either. I'm always happy when we spend the day at the lake even if its way to hot. Happy almost weekend!

Project life weeks 19 & 20
Hello hello!! I'm back with weeks 19 and 20 of my project life album. I'm slowly, but surely getting all caught up with posting my weeks and that makes me happy happy happy!! :)
I really like how this week turned out. I also love the square page protector and am looking forward to using it again in the album. There's just something about the square pictures and size that I'm loving.
And week 20. Another spread that I ended up really liking. This was also the week that I got to see Ingrid Michaelson in concert and she was GREAT!!! I would/will see her again if she comes back close. So much fun and the girl is just as good in person as she is on her albums. Fun times.

Life Lately
Life lately has been about spending time together.
Life lately has been about getting creative with some simple DYI.
Life lately has been about documenting a very difficult subject for me.
Life lately has been about yummy homemade ice cream (with another DIY).
Life lately has been about Sundays.
Life lately has been about the sunshine shining, the start of a new week and eating lunch in the park.
Life lately has been pretty good if I do say so myself. Nothing is perfect, but it's the little thing that make it worth while and I'm going to try to keep up the positive attitude and roll with the flow.
Hello Monday!!

Project life week 18
Hello and welcome back for some more poject life. This week was easy to put together and it has my first big photo of the year (I think LOL). I wanted to do a full 12x12 page of the house, but the picture I had it didn't work out and it looked funny when I tried to make that size. But hey, that's ok and I love how it looks like this so.....
I'm looking forward to including more bigger size photos and I'm sure I'll be able to get some 12x12. Here's hoping anyway. Happy Monday, hope you have a great week.

Kitchen confession 001... & A Happy Birthday
I love to bake, but hate to clean up the mess. Being able to eat the leftover frosting makes it a little better though and of course I'll make a mess cake for someone's birthday. In case it was David's.
Here's to another year older, another year (hopefully) wiser. Happy Birthday. babe. I love you!

Project Life weeks 16 & 17

Hello and Happy Memorial Day!! I hope you've had a great long holiday weekend. I know I've sure enjoyed it. Taking the time to remember and be very thankful today and everyday for those who fight for our freedom and those that we've lost and that have gone on a better place.
Hello and Happy Memorial Day!!! I'm back today to share weeks 16 & 17 of project life. I really like the way both of these weeks came together. Both weeks were pretty busy which always makes for a good layout.
Week 17
this week included Easter and that super cute bunny cake I made, softball, lake time and a couple movies thrown in. A very good week.
Hope the rest of your week is just as good as the weekend!!

Sketchbook
I signed up for Kelly Purkey's sketchbook class at Studio Calico this month and I'm loving it. I love using sketches as a jumping off point to get the creative juices flowing and man do I love the sketches in her class. This is the second one of her classes that I've taken and have loved both of them and am in awe of the talent and ideas that people come up with just by using a sketch to get started. I wanted to share a few of the layouts I've created so far during the class.
I ended up adding love under bike since I had just done a page about my new bike, but failed to take another picture of it.

I love sketches because they can be used over and over and over again. You can change them up in so many different ways. They really are a great tool to use when you are stuck.

Project Life Week 14 & 15
This was the week that my friend, Kathryn and I went to go see the Adams Family (snap snap) and we both loved it. It was pretty funny and just a good musical to see. We ended the week with my nieces first dance recital and a game or two of bowling. Week 15
This was another fun week filled with rain, fishing, homemade banana nut bread, taking my nephew and his girlfriend's prom pictures (when did they all get so old?). And ended the week spending Saturday night with my Mom. I'm almost caught up on sharing my weeks, thank goodness. How about you, are you doing project life, are you caught up?

Kickin' It Old School
We've been living in our new house since November and my scrapbook room/office is STILL a horrible horrible mess. And to be honest its getting on my nerves. Well to be even more honest the whole house is getting in my nerves with how dirty and dusty and much stuff we still that needs to be gone through. I've never wanted or needed grass so much before in my life. I am constantly having to dust and vacuum and I'm sick of it, but for now its what has to happen. I'm looking forward to having grass and my house being clean. I'm not saying that the house will be super duper clean at all times or even most times, but it will for sure be cleaner than it has been the mast several months.
Ok sorry, I'll get back on track. As I was saying my office is a disaster and I can't find anything and because of that I spend more time digging for stuff than actually creating stuff. So slowly I've been going through stuff and getting rid of stuff. Now that may mean its going into the pile to donate or to trash. And before I can get the room like I want and get new organization things in here I've GOT to get rid of some stuff or at least use up some of the stuff that I've been hoarding for years. Yes, you read that right, YEARS. I've had stuff for several years that the package has never been opened. I totally blame that on my indecisiveness and not wanting to use any products because there could be a better page, or mini album, or idea to use it on later. Well NO MORE!! I'm done not using stuff and it just sitting there collecting dust, literally. And with that some of the stuff I've been hoarding is the first Dear Lizzy collection from Elizabeth Kartchner and wanted to of course show what I did with the stuff.
First up....
A layout about my bike. It just seemed to fit and it was a Springtime collection which made it even better. I also created a mini album for Easter.
Both projects were super simple and easy to make. The goal was to use up as much of this line as I could on them and hopefully to use it all. While I didn't use it all I managed to put a pretty good dent in it, so I'm happy with that. I've still got a lot to go through and sort out and organization and get rid of and I'm slowly getting there. How do you keep from hoarding cute products?

Project Life Week 13
I'm back sharing week 13 of my album. This week was pretty simple nothing crazy going on in life or on the spread which is just fine with me.
I did go see Divergent just like everyone else, but unlike everyone else I'm probably only one of a handful of people who thought it was going to be better. I'm not sure what it was, but I just thought it could have, should have been better. Maybe if I watch again I won't be as disappointed and then will like it? Who knows.
